A drifter previously convicted of killing and beheading hikers in Florida and north Georgia will serve four additional life sentences for murdering a North Carolina couple in a national forest. Traffic  on SR17 in Lavonia was backed up for a time this morning due to a wreck in the northbound land. It happened about 5:40a at the intersection of Grogan St and SR17 in front of the fountain and Lavonia Police Station involving an SUV and pick up truck.
