Walking Trail on Hartwell Dam Closed For Repairs
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hartwell Project Office is doing some routine maintenance on its walking trails.
Beginning today the Corps will close the walking trail located above the South Carolina earthen embankment section of the dam.
The area, located in Anderson County, South Carolina, will be closed for activity through August 21st.
Visitors are encouraged to use the nearby walking trail located on the Georgia earthen embankment that can be accessed from Big Oaks Recreation Area in Hart County, Georgia.
