Voting for May Primary Continues Saturday

Just a reminder that if you haven’t had a chance to cast an early ballot for the May Primary you will be able to do so on Saturday at your local Board of Elections or Registrar’s office from 9a to 4p.

This is the first of two Saturday early voting opportunities. There will be one other Saturday early voting opportunity next weekend on Saturday, May 14 from 9a – 4p.

In the local races, voters in both Franklin and Hart counties are deciding on the Board of Commissioner and Board of Education races.

Voters are also choosing candidates for a host of state and federal races, including Governor, Lt. Governor, U.S. Senate, Georgia Secretary of State, and U.S. Representative District 9.

In Franklin County, voters go to the Franklin County Elections and Registrations Office in Carnesville on Royston Road from 9:00a-5:00p during the week to early vote.

Elections Supervisor Gina Bannister also advises voters who want an absentee ballot to get their requests in now so her office will have plenty of time to mail a ballot to you.

Franklin County voters who need more information can call the Board of Elections office in Carnesville at 706-384-4390.

In Hart County, voters go to the Elections and Registrations office on Cade St. in Hartwell to cast an early ballot from 9a to 5p Monday – Friday.

Hart County voters with questions can call Elections Supervisor Robin Webb at 706-376-8911.
