Voters Turning Out in Record Numbers Across the State to Advance Vote

More Georgians are going to the polls to cast early ballots in this year’s mid-term elections than in the 2020 Presidential election.

As of Tuesday, over 268,000 voters had cast early ballots.

Local voters in Franklin and Hart Counties also continue to turn out in large numbers.

In Franklin County, Interim Elections Supervisor Traci Creason said there has been a steady stream of voters coming to the Elections Office in Carnesville to advance vote.

“As of Tuesday, October 18, we have had 187 early voters. This a big turnout. I knew it would be. There have not been any wait lines, it’s just been steady. Hopefully, that will continue, Creason said.

Creason said as of Tuesday they had had 26 absentee ballots returned of the more than 300 sent out.

In Hart County, Elections Supervisor Robin Webb said as of Wednesday at noon they had had 845 advance voters and 145 absentee paper ballots returned.

Advance voting continues through November 4 for the November 8 Mid-term Election.

Voting takes place at the Elections and Registrations office in Carnesville on the Royston Highway in Franklin County.

In Hart County voters are going to the Board of Elections office on Cade Street in Hartwell.

Voting hours are Monday – Friday from 9a to 5p and the next two Saturdays from 9a to 4p.
