Voter Registation Ends Today for November Elections

Today is the last day to register to vote if you want to cast a ballot in the November municipal and county elections.

Franklin County Elections Superintendent Tess Eubanks says there are a number of ways you can register.

“You can come by office here in Carnesville,” said Franklin County Elections Superintendent Tess Eubanks. “Or you can go online to the Secretary of State’s Web site, download and fill out a form and mail it in. If you are a student, you can go by your registrar’s office and they can register you. Or you can go by your local public library and they can register you 

Franklin County’s Elections office is conducting the municipal elections for four of the county’s five towns.  Last week,  Eubanks tested voting machines for the four municipalities holding elections.

In Hart County, anyone wanting to register to vote in person will go to the new location of the Hart County Registrar at 182 Cade St.

Both the Franklin County Elections office and the Hart County Registrar’s office are also now accepting applications for paper absentee ballots.  Paper absentee ballots will be mailed out October 15th.
