Vintage Christmas Market Kicks Off with Open House Tonight

This weekend’s Christmas Vintage Market in downtown Lavonia actually kicks off this evening with the Vintage Open House.

Raina Trexell and her husband own the Vintage Owl gift shop, Vintage Cup coffee shop, and the recently opened Vintage Home store in downtown Lavonia.

Trexell said tonight the public is invited to celebrate the start of the holiday season from 4p to 6p.  The Christmas Vintage Market is Saturday from 9a to 4p.  There will be carriage rides through downtown, hot cider and chocolate, and smores.

Trexell said this market will feature over 50 vendors offering a wide variety of goods and crafts.

The weather is expected to be sunny but colder with a nip in the air to get you in the holiday spirit.

Trexell said in addition to the craft vendors there will be holiday goodies to snack on as you browse the artists’ booths.

Trexell started the Vintage Market events a year ago during the pandemic when so many local municipalities had to forego holding their annual festivals.

Again tonight’s Vintage Open House begins at 4p and is free.
