Two Lavonia Police Officers Graduate from EMT Class

Two Lavonia Police officers have gone the extra mile to receive training as EMTs.

Interim Police Chief Daniel Carson told the Lavonia City Council Monday evening that last fall Officer Ezra Segars and Lt. Bobbi John volunteered to receive training as Emergency Medical Technicians offered by the Franklin County EMA.

He said both graduated top in their class.

Carson then congratulated them on their willingness to go above and beyond their law enforcement training to add an additional skill set that could be needed at any time in an emergency.

After receiving their pins, Mayor Umbehant congratulated Officer Segars and Lt. John and thanked them for their service.
