TruVista Cable Donates Land to Franklin County

TruVista Cable is donating land to Franklin County it no longer needs.

At last week’s Board of Commission work session, TruVista executives signed the paperwork that donates to the county approximately four acres of land at the intersection of Starr’s Bridge and Blacksnake Road near Carnesville.

County manager John Phillips said the acreage is a potential site for a new county water well.

“Several years when Senator Ginn was our county manager, we started identifying properties that would allow us to erect an additional water storage tank,” Phillips said. “This land is in an area of the county where at the time Northland Cable owned the property. Since then TruVista became the owner and they have been gracious enough to donate that land to the county.”

Phillips said the area is near existing water lines and will help expand the county’s water system.

“We have an existing 12-inch water line on SR51 there. The elevation works out and it will be a very valuable piece of property for us as far as the expansion of our water system,” Phillips said.

In making the donation, TruVista CFO and Sr. Vice President David Brundt said his company is pleased to be involved in the community.

“We are pleased to present this property to Franklin County,” Brundt said. “This shows TruVista’s comittment to helping this county move forward.”

After making his statement, Brundt and County Commission Chair Thomas Bridges signed paperwork transferring the land to the county.
