Toccoa Woman Indicted in Franklin County on Drug Charges

A Toccoa woman has been indicted by a Franklin County Grand Jury on seven counts related to drug trafficking after a drug investigation in Canon last year.

According to GBI Agent in Charge Trent Hillsman with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Officer, on December 7, a search was conducted at a residence in Canon, Franklin County, related to a drug investigation.

The investigation was conducted by the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the investigation, marijuana, ecstasy, and approximately 1.8 ounces of methamphetamine were seized, according to Hillsman.

Arrested were Rocky Lee Holmes, 46, and Carolyn Nicole Vinson, 29, of Toccoa.

Vinson was indicted on Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Schedule 1 Drug.

Holmes was also indicted on one count of Possession of Meth with intent to distribute.

Holmes and Vinson were transported to the Franklin County Jail following their arrest.
