Toccoa Police Asking for Info on Vehicle in Homicide

Montavious FlentallToccoa Police say they have been getting tips and leads from the tip line they opened earlier this week in their investigation into the death of a 28-year old man.

Montavious Xavier Flentall was found dead inside a home off Fernside Drive early Tuesday morning.  The next day, Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell put out a call for the public’s help in this case, and he said it’s paying off.

“We have gotten some information that has led us to other leads and we are following up on those,” said Jarrell.

On Thursday, Jarrell said they are now asking for information from anyone who can help them identify a vehicle they believe is connected to the case.

“We are seeking information on a newer model Ford SUV that is either going to be gray or metallic blue in color,” said Jarrell.  “If anyone knows this vehicle or spots a vehicle they think matches the description and gets a tag number, if they can call the Toccoa Police Department’s tip number.

That number is 706-282-3237.

Flentall’s body was found about 8a Tuesday morning in a home on Pageland Drive, but court records list Flentall’s address as Poplar Street in Toccoa.

Authorities are not releasing any more information on why Flentall was at the Pageland address nor any other information in this case, including how Flentall died.  However, Jarrell said earlier this week, his death has been ruled a homicide.

At the time of his death, Flentall was on parole.

He had been released from state prison in July 2013, after serving three years of a 20-year sentence on a conviction in Stephens County for the possession, sale, and distribution of cocaine.

Again, the tip line number for Toccoa Police in regard to this case is 706-282-3237 or you can call your local 911.  You do not have to give your name.
