Toccoa Falls College Mens Choir to Sing National Anthem at Division Series Game

By Ethan Jordan, WNEG Radio, Toccoa

The Toccoa Falls College Singing Men, a community men’s choir comprised of male singers from both the college and the surrounding community, will be performing the National Anthem for the first game of the National League Divisional Series.

The Braves will host the Philadelphia Phillies today and the first pitch is scheduled for 1:07 p.m. with the anthem taking place a little before 1 p.m.

FOX is televising the game, but it is not sure if FOX will broadcast the anthem.

The Toccoa Falls College Singing Men is under the direction of Dr. Tom Council, and he says singing at a Braves game is not anything new for the group but performing the National Anthem for a playoff game—especially the first game of the series—is special.

The TFC Singing Men was formed in 2001 and performs annually in various concerts and community venues, such as the Toccoa Harvest Festival and the Toccoa Symphony Orchestra Christmas Concert.
