Three Local McDonald’s Managers Win Company’s Outstanding Manager Award

The managers of three local McDonald’s restaurants have been recognized by the McDonald’s Corporation with the McDonald’s Outstanding Managers Award.

All three winners are managers at McDonald’s restaurants in Northeast Georgia and the Upstate of South Carolina and all three stores are owned by Terry Shugart, owner of Shugart Enterprises, Inc., in Royston.

Shugart owns 10 McDonald’s in Northeast Georgia and the Upstate.

The recipients of the Outstanding Managers Award are Ashley Traxler, General Manager of the Anderson store on Bypass Road, Luis Jave, General Manager of Elberton, GA, and David Hill, General Manager of Belton, SC store.

Traxler, has been with Shugart McDonald’s since 2018, Hill since 2017, and Jave has been with the company since 2002.

All three said they are proud to have been recognized by the McDonald’s Corporation for their efforts and hard work.

They were presented with the high honor on Monday, November 18th in Asheville, N.C.

The annual McDonald’s Outstanding Managers Award commends the top 10 percent of restaurant managers across the nation, recognizing their performance in restaurant sales, customer service and operations.

In order to be eligible for the award, a general manager must have at least one year of experience and be a graduate of Hamburger University®, McDonald’s® global operations training and leadership development program.

The three managers also beat out managers in the McDonald’s Big South CoOp, which includes about 365 restaurants across the southeast in markets from Georgia to Myrtle Beach.

Shugart Enterprises, Inc. has been in operation as a McDonald’s franchisee since 2001. In 2018, the company methodically expanded from base operations in Hartwell, Georgia to 10 restaurants throughout northeast Georgia and Anderson County, South Carolina.
