Third Annual Business Trade Show a Success, Organizers Say

trade showThursday’s Business Trade Show in Lavonia is being hailed a success.

Sponsored by the Franklin County Chamber, the trade show is a way for businesses and services in Franklin County to network and for the public to see the kinds of businesses available to them.

This was the third annual Franklin County Business Expo and Chamber Director Aida Reynolds said she was very pleased with the turnout

“We had 43 businesses and organizations participate,” she said. “It was a nice diverse group and people got to see the number of services we have to offer right here in our county.”

The trade show was open to the public as well as students.  Reynolds said students from the high school toured the show early on.

“We had over 60 high school students come through. It was an opportunity for them. They actually had an assignment to create a business card as a way to promote themselves. It was a good exercise for them,” Reynolds said.

Students also got to meet real business owners and talk with them.
