Tennessee Man Facing Multiple Drug Charges in Rabun County

A Tennessee man is behind bars in Rabun County on multiple traffic and drug charges.

According to Rabun County Sheriff Chad Nichols, the arrest of 27-year old Devon Bucy, of Greenville, Tennessee came October 30 when a lookout was placed for an impaired driver on US 441.

A Rabun County deputy spotted Bucy’s vehicle and attempted to pull him over, but he sped away and a high-speed chase ensued down 441 into Tallulah Falls where the driver lost conntrol and crashed.

The Sheriff said Bucy then fled on foot.

A K-9 unit was able to locate Bucy and he was arrested without incident.

A further investigation uncovered multiple drugs, firearms, and cash inside Bucy’s vehicle, which was found to have been stolen out of Tennessee.

In addition to multiple traffic violations, Bucy is also charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Prescription Drugs to be Kept in Original Container, Possession of Drug Related Objects, 2-Counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, 2-counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, and Theft by Bringing Stolen Property into the State.

He remains in the Rabun County Detention Center.
