Stephens County is holding two local run-off elections on the 21st and the deadline to request an absentee ballot application is this Friday.

According to Stephens County Election Supervisor Krista Terry, June 10 is the final day to submit an application requesting an absentee ballot for the runoff.

Additionally, Terry says her office will conduct Logic and Accuracy testing on June 10 and 11.

The testing will include the preparation and testing of the electronic poll books, electronic ballot markers, printers, and scanners for use during the election. The procedures will continue until completed and are open to the public.

Advance voting for the run-offs begins Monday, June 13 and runs through Friday, June 17 from 8a to 5p at the Stephens County Courthouse.

Voters in Stephens County are deciding two local races, and both are for posts on the Stephens County Board of Commissioners.

During the May 24, General Primary Election, Black received 1,459 votes or 36.58 percent and Simmons received 880 votes or 22.07 percent.
