St. Mary’s Sacred Heart, Stephens County Hospital Restricting Visitors

St. Mary’s Healthcare system, which includes St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia is limiting visitation for all in-patients to one adult at a time until further notice.

No children under 18 years of age are allowed to visit patients.

Additionally, all classes, events and support groups scheduled through Mar. 31 have been canceled.

Also, Stephens County Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Mike Hester has announced that the hospital has implemented measures to protect patients and visitors from potential exposure to the Coronavirus.

On Saturday, Hester issued a press release, issuing an immediate change to the visitation policy at the Stephens County Hospital and all associated clinical locations.

Stephens County Hospital will limit patient visitors to one immediate family member in all patient areas, including labor and delivery.

No visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed.

Visitors will be restricted if exhibiting any flu-like or respiratory signs and symptoms.
