Royston’s Artisan Walk Takes Place on Third Mondays Starting in July

The Royston DDA is sponsoring its monthly Artisan Walk on the third Monday of the month beginning this month.

The next Artisan Walk will be next Monday, July 18 from 5p to 7p.

Last month, DDA Executive Director Michael Crump announced the monthly summer event would be moved to the first Monday of the month.

“The DDA Board decided to move the Artisan Walk in July to the third Monday. We really want the event to be worthwhile to the merchants and businesses that are open and also to the vendors who are participating,” he explained. It will also correspond to the Old Hardware Store being open on Monday evenings because they already have a following and that will be in addition to the Mexican restaurant. So, we think that will create more foot traffic.”

The Artisan Walk in downtown Royston gives people an opportunity to get out in the evening, take a break from the day’s work, and stroll the downtown area viewing local artists’ and craft vendors’ work.

This is the third year for the Artisan Walk and Royston DDA Executive Director Michael Crump said they continue to get a good response from vendors who want to come out and sell their products.

In addition to local artists, there will also be crafts, shopping, local dining, and live music at the Gazebo.

Entertainment will be provided by the Humdingers. You will also be able to register for a gas fireplace insert from Royston Natural Gas.

Again, the Artisan Walk will take place next Monday, July 18 from 5p – 7p.
