Royston Mayor and Council Taking Their Time in Search for New City Manager

The search for a new Royston City Manager continues.

Mayor Keith Turman says they’ve listed the position on several platforms.

According to the Mayor, he and the City Council are in no rush to hire someone.

Turman says they want to make sure the City has the right person for the job and have made adjustments to the requirements in order to attract the right candidates.

Former Royston City Manager Sharleen Ayers submitted her resignation Friday, March 15.

The search to find her replacement began immediately and Turman said they have received a number of resumes. Still, he said they are not setting a deadline for receiving applications.
