Royston Man Charged with Grand Larceny in Seneca, SC

A Royston man is facing larceny charges in Seneca South Carolina.

On Monday, Seneca Police pulled over a vehicle driven by David Shane Spears of Royston at the intersection of Fairplay and 1st Sts.

According to the incident report, during the stop officers saw an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

That prompted a search of the Spear’s truck.

During the search and inventory of the truck, officers noticed a blanket covering up items in the bed of the truck.

Underneath the blanket officer’s recovered four tires and rims that had been stolen from Lake Keowee Ford on 05/15/2021.

The four tires were taken off a 2020 Ford F-150, and the stolen property was valued at $9,600.

Spears was taken into custody for Open Container, and a warrant was obtained for Grand Larceny.
