ROYSTON HOSTING TWO FREE CONCERTS THIS WEEKEND

Two concerts are taking place this weekend in Royston at the amphitheater located in the Royston Community and Wellness Park.

Tonight, country music singer/songwriter Chandler Flint and Kara Frazier will perform in a free concert at the amphitheater.

Presented by The Old Corner Hardware Store, Remax Classic Realty, and Greyroom Industry, the concert begins at 7p.

Food trucks will be available and you’re invited to bring a chair or blanket for a fun night of country music.

Then Saturday evening, the City of Royston is hosting its first-ever big-name concert Saturday at the Royston Community and Wellness Park amphitheater.

R&B group The Tams will be in concert Saturday evening from 7p to 10p as part of Royston’s Celebration of Cities Week.

THE TAMS have been entertaining audiences for over 50 years.

Known for such hits as “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy”, “What Kind of Fool”, “I’ve Been Hurt” and “Untie Me “, The Tams have had Several Gold Records, and 1 Platinum Single.

Royston Downtown Development Authority Michael Crump said the concert promises to be a fun evening and those attending are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs or a blanket, a picnic basket, and a small cooler with non-alcoholic beverages.

Crump said, however, there will be adult beverages for sale on site.

And if you’d rather purchase food on site, he said there will also be food vendors Saturday night as well.

Both the concert Saturday night and parking are free.
