Royston DDA and City Council to Hold Joint Work Session This Evening

The Royston Downtown Development Board and the Royston City Council will be holding a joint meeting this evening at the Royston Train Depot.

According to DDA Executive Director Michael Crump, the meeting is a work session for the two groups to exchange ideas and goals.

Crump said one area he expects them to discuss is what to do with the vacant buildings downtown as well as blighted properties in the City.

Another area of discussion is event planning. One event Crump said they need to look at is the annual Christmas parade. He said they’re considering changing the date of the parade and the time.

Tonight’s work session begins at 6p at the Royston Train Depot and is open to the public.
