Red Hill Man Killed in One-Vehicle Wreck
Funeral services are set for Tuesday for a Red Hill man who died Sunday in a wreck in Banks County.
According to a report on accessnorthga.com, it happened about 7:30a Sunday morning.
Georgia State Patrol Gainesville Post reports 41-year old Mark Akin was traveling on SR63 near SR51 when his vehicle ran off the road, went out of control, then overturned numerous times.
Troopers say speed was likely a factor in the fatal wreck. They said there was nothing on the scene to indicate anything else may have caused it.
They say however, Akin was not wearing a seatbelt.
Akin was a graduate of Franklin County High School and a graduate of Emmanuel College. He was a poultry farmer in the Red Hill Community near Martin.
Services are set for Tuesday afternoon at Ginn Funeral Home in Carnesville.
