Qualifying for the District Two Hart County Commission seat ends today at noon.

As of 4p Thursday afternoon, County Probate Judge Bob Smith said  four candidates had come forward since qualifying began on Wednesday.

They are running to fill the unexpired term of Dan Reyen who died suddenly in November.   Whoever wins the special election on March 18 will have to qualify and run again later this year for the next four-year term which starts in January 2015.

Qualifying takes place at the Hart County Probate office on the square in downtown Hartwell. The cost to qualify is $162.
