Qualifying Ends in Stephens County for Local Races

Qualifying for local County and Board of Education races is over in Stephens County.

Posts 1, 4, and 5 are open on the Stephens County Board of Commissioners this election.

For Post 1, One democrat and six Republicans have qualified.

They are Democratic candidate Kathy Pauly, and Republican candidates Bo Webb, T. Craig Beatty, Paresh ‘Tony’ Patel, Dennis Black, Lawrence S. Krul, and Tara D. Simmons have all qualified.

In the Post 4 race, Four Republicans have qualified.

They are Republican incumbent James Addison who is being challenged by Republicans Russ Addison, Chris Rickman, and Jesse Pitts have all qualified for Post 4.

And for Post 5, Republican Chuck Wright was the sole candidate to qualify so he will run unopposed in May.

For the Stephens County Board of Education, Republican Incumbent James Roger ‘Jim’ Bellamy and Republican candidate Amber Gilbert have both qualified for District 1 Post 2.

Republican candidates Tripp Arrowood and Mary Day Widner have qualified for District 2 Post 1.

Republican Incumbent Travis Dobbs, Republican candidates Kendrick Maxwell and Kayla Caudell Smith, and Democratic candidates Shantelle Grant and Kali R. Jackson have all qualified for District 2 Post 2.

Republican Incumbent Kay H. Reed has qualified for District3 Post 1.

For the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission Incumbent Lakey Meeks has qualified.
