Public Invited to Drop-In Reception for Retiring Lavonia City Manager Fesperman

It is the last official work day for Lavonia City Manager Gary Fesperman and the day will be highlighted with a drop in reception at the Lavonia Train Depot.

Fesperman, who has been the City Manager in Lavonia since 1999 is retiring. He announced his retirement at the first of this year.

Today’s drop in reception is open to the public and takes place from 11a to 2p.

In August, the Lavonia City Council officially hired former Franklin County Commissioner Charles Cawthon to succeed Fesperman.

Cawthon takes over the job, officially, on December 31.
