VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING TONIGHT ON DNR 2023 – 2025 HUNTING REGULATIONS

A reminder for local hunters and other interested citizens that a virtual public meeting is scheduled for this evening on the DNR Wildlife Resources Division Facebook page beginning at 7p.

DNR officials are asking hunters to lend your comments and ideas on the development of hunting regulation proposals for the 2023-2025 hunting seasons.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Division is holding a number of in-person public meetings and one virtual public meeting this month to get input and ideas from licensed hunters.

All meetings take place at 7pm and will take place at a number of locations around the state through January 19, including tonight’s virtual meeting on Facebook.

For our area, the best option for hunters might be tonight’s virtual meeting.

Another local meeting will take place in person on Wednesday, January 18 at the Lumpkin County Library in Dahlonega.

In addition to the virtual meeting tonight, you can provide input via email at [email protected]

Or you can snail mail your comments to Dr. Tina Johannsen/GA DNR Wildlife Resources Division/2067 US Hwy. 278, SE/Social Circle, GA 30025.

All comments/statements must be received by the close of business (4:30 pm EST) on January 27, 2023.
