Mr. Phillip Haynie  “Phil” Hix, 73, of Hartwell, Ga. died Tuesday March 18, 2014 at his home. Funeral Services will be Thursday March 20, 2014 at 4 pm at the mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist  Church Cemetery. The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening form 6 pm to 8 pm. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church building Fund or Sign Fund 2973 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, Ga. 30643.
