Open Mic Monday at the Toccoa Ritz Theatre Monday Evening

The Ritz Theatre will continue its fifth season of Open Mic Monday next week in Toccoa-Stephens County.

The competition will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, evening, and continues the third Monday of each month through December, culminating in a Winner’s Showcase in January.

Ritz Theatre General Manager Tami Mayhugh says anyone interested in being a contestant can sign-up for free online or by emailing her at [email protected].

Contestants may also sign in at the door the night of the show on a first-come, first-up basis, until 6:30 p.m.

The monthly competitions are limited to just 10 contestants each.  This month’s competition theme is Country music. A three-judge panel will decide the winner each month.

The winner will get a cash prize and a performance slot at the 2022 Ida Cox Music Series.

Like prior seasons, Open Mic Monday is a free event for both participants and the public.
