Pair Arrested in Connection With Murder of Madison County, NC Man

A Madison County, NC woman and her son are now behind bars in Rabun County, charged in connection with the murder of her ex-boyfriend in North Carolina.

47-year old Nancy Cherie Hogan was captured in Rabun County Wednesday night.  Her son, 30-year old Brandon Hogan was captured several hours later early Thursday morning in the Bridge Creek area of Rabun County.

According to the Madison County, NC Sheriff’s office, Hogan and her son 30-year old Brandon Hogan allegedly murdered 67-year old Edward Brown Praytor.

Praytor’s body was found Tuesday in the driveway of his home.  Investigators say he died of blunt force trauma.

Warrants were issued Tuesday night by the Madison County, NC Sheriff’s office for Nancy and Brandon Hogan.

Brandon Hogan is also wanted by Habersham County Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear on Felony Child Molestation charges. .
