NVR, Inc. Moving Into Former Bosal Site, Bringing 200 Jobs

Franklin County is welcoming a new industry.

NVR, Inc. the parent company of Ryan Homes, is locating in the old Bosal facility off Ross Place in Lavonia.

The Franklin County Industrial Building Authority has been working with NVR for over a year to help them secure a location.

Initially, NVR, Inc. had planned to purchase 184 acres off Old Federal Highway and construct a 145,000-square-foot building.

But because there’s no sewer in the area they continued to search until they found the right location, according to IBA Executive Director Tonya Powers.

At their new facility, NVR, Inc. will be building trusses specifically for Ryan Homes.

Powers said now that they’ve begun moving to their new location, they plan to begin interviewing potential employees this week.

The pay rate for this position starts at $22.00, and increases based on experience
Qualifications

No experience is required, but higher starting wages are possible for those with framing, millwork, trim, and other related construction experience and skills

The new truss facility and distribution center in Lavonia amounts to a 100-million dollar project and the tax revenue for the county is expected to be about $1 million in addition to the water and sewer usage.
