Northeast Georgia Men Arrested in Seneca, Charged with Shoplifting
Two Northeast Georgia men are among three suspects arrested in Oconee County, SC for shoplifting over the Christmas holiday weekend.
Oconee County Sheriff’s spokesman Jimmy Watt tells WLHR News the first arrest came Wednesday, December 23rd.
24 year old Shawn Michael Fodor of Duggan Hill Lane in Clayton was caught last Wednesday at the Seneca Wal-mart by loss prevention employees.
Authorities say Fodor had in his possession, an HP laptop, HP notebook and a tablet case that he managed to get out of the store undetected.
Total amount of the items taken was about $710.
He was charged with shoplifting and released the next morning on a $2,100 bond.
Two more shoplifting arrests were made Christmas Eve day in Seneca.
39 year old Roger Vernon Vaughn, Jr. of Anderson was charged in warrants for being involved in three separate shopliftings this past spring and summer at the Seneca Wal-Mart in which a combined total of $3,640.59 was taken.
Vaughn was also served with an outstanding General Sessions Bench Warrant. As of 1:30pm today, he remains in custody at the Detention Center on a combined total surety bond amount of $6,390.
And a Toccoa man was caught allegedly shoplifting in Seneca on Christmas Eve.
Oconee County Sheriff’s office says 42 year old Alejandro Rodrigues Shropshire of Doyle Street in Toccoa, was arrested after a deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division was dispatched to the Belk’s in Seneca in regards to a shoplifting.
A deputy was given a description of the individual in question and then discovered the individual matching the description walking along Highway 123.
The suspect was identified by a store employee and Shropshire was placed under arrest and issued a traffic ticket on charges of shoplifting.
The total amount of items that Shropshire is accused of shoplifting from the store is $950.52.
Shropshire was released from the Oconee County Detention Center on Christmas Day after posting a $2,130 bond.
