North GA Tech Offering One-Stop Shop for Prospective Students

If you’re considering enrolling at North Georgia Technical College but don’t have a lot of time, NGTC is offering special dates and times for one-stop shop assistance for students interested in enrolling fall semester of 2022.

It’s called Tech-Express and will be offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Aug. 9-10 and 16-17, with extended business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Clarkesville, Blairsville, and Currahee campuses.

NGTC spokeswoman Amy Hulsey tells WLHR News Tech Express will have representatives available from all departments to assist students with questions regarding applications, financial aid, program of studies, and registration.

Students are encouraged to bring their high school and/or college transcripts and 2020 tax documents to apply and receive financial assistance.

Students who apply during Tech Express are eligible to apply for free for the fall semester.

Additionally, students eligible for the HOPE Tuition Grant may also be eligible for additional financial assistance from Georgia’s HOPE Career Grant to cover the entire cost of tuition for attending NGTC in one of the many tuition-free programs offered.

These include programs such as Advanced Manufacturing, Air Conditioning Technology, Automotive Technology, and Repair, Early Childhood Care and Education, Electrical Systems Technology, Emergency Medical Systems Professionals, Networking Specialists, Medical Assisting, Practical Nursing, and Web Application Development, to name a few.

Many tuition-free certificates in various programs are also available beginning fall semester.
