No Blood on Georgia Guidestones, Investigators Say

By David Stephens, WSGC Radio, Elberton

In Elbert County, seeing may not be believing.

Such was the case with a story on social media recently claiming blood was found on the Georgia Guidestones.

A Website by the name of infowars.com, recently posted an article claiming a drone had captured footage from atop the Georgia Guidestones of a “mysterious” red substance on top of the stones.

Elbert County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, after receiving a call from the Elberton Granite Association, went out to the stones to do what they do best, investigate.

According to Investigator Lt. Carey Fewox, no red substance was found on top of the stones.

He did mention there was a very small spot that appeared to be formed from pooling water that was a bluish-green color.  A swab was taken for testing by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for confirmation. However, Fewox said there is no active investigation relating to the Georgia Guidestones at this time.
