NGTC Selects New Vice President of Academic Affairs

A Bowman native is the new Vice President of Academic Affairs for North Georgia Technical College.

On Monday, Amy Hulsey, Vice President of Institutional Advancement & Marketing announced Monday that Stephanie Benson will take over the job on June 1.

Benson has previously served as executive vice president of workforce development and institutional effectiveness and executive director of the foundation at Roanoke-Chowan Community College in Hertford, NC, since 2022.

Prior to joining Roanoke-Chowan Community College, she worked at Athens Technical College from 2005 to 2022, as the vice president for adult education and institutional effectiveness.

Benson received a master’s degree in adult education from The University of Georgia, a bachelor’s degree in business management from Brenau University, and an associate of science degree in business from Athens Technical College.

“We are extremely happy to welcome Stephanie to our Leadership Team at North Georgia Technical College,” said NGTC President John Wilkinson. “Her wealth of experience with workforce development and institutional effectiveness certainly will serve to strengthen our college and the academic experience for our students.”

Benson succeeds NGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs Mindy Glander who recently retired.
