New Franklin County Chamber Director On the Job

Many of you may know her as “The Picture Lady” who takes all of the Franklin County Athletics sports photos.  Others may remember her with the Franklin County Board of Commissioners Office.  Now Rachel Howington has a new title, Executive Director with the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.  Howington started with the Chamber on April 20.

She says she is looking forward to being out in the community serving the local businesses. “I guess my goal would be to again get more out in the public, be seen, use me, let them teach me about their businesses so I can help promote their businesses and welcome them as members.”

Howington fills the position vacated by former director Rita Shoemaker who left in August to return to the Mentor Program.  Oh and by the way, Howington says she’ll still be taking pictures!
