Nena Louise (Jackson) Benfield Turney, age 62, of Gumlog, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Landmark Hospital in Athens. The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City ~ Burgess Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours, they will be at their respective homes.
