Nautical Flea Market Ready To Set Sail on Saturday

A Gordon’s Marine along with the Hartwell Rotary Club are hosting another nautical themed event this weekend. . .The Nautical Flea Market.  The Nautical Flea Market will take place Saturday at the Gum Branch Mega Ramp and Pavillion in Hartwell.  Theo Derleth is with the Hartwell Rotary Club.  Derleth says he and his wife Ganine came up with the idea for this nautical flea market after living in Key West, Florida.

Derleth says, “When we lived in the Florida Keys, the Islamorada Rotary Club started a nautical flea market that became a huge success, and it’s now called the Mega Nautical Flea Market.  A nd it was done over 3 days. It’s so popular.  People drive from Naples, Fort Myers, Miami, all over. And it’s really a great success.”

Derleth says patrons can expect to find new boats, motors, fishing gear, clothing, watersports, outdoor furniture, arts and crafts, tools, nautical jewelry, docks, boat lifts, food trucks, and KONA ice, and more.  There will also be in-water demonstrations.  Plus there will be people out there selling new and used non-nautical items.  In fact, if you have new or used items you’d like to sell on Saturday,  just show up by 7:45 a.m., pay the $25 vendor entry fee, and you’re in.  For questions, call Theo Derleth at 305-766-3428.

Again the Nautical Flea Market is on Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m at the Gum Branch Mega Ramp and Pavillion, 1352 Vanna Weller Road in Hartwell.  Admission and parking are free.
