Mtn City Woman Charged in Drug Bust

In Rabun County, a woman is behind bars charged with possession of methamphetamine.
According to Mitchell Posey with the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, Rabun County deputies pulled over a vehicle for a routine traffic violation.
During the stop, Posey said deputies searched the vehicle and discovered 8 grams of methamphetamine, scales, numerous plastic baggies and a pipe in the car with a street value of $880.
Arrested was 30-year old Johnnie Ryan Rathburn of Mountain City.
Rathburn was charged with possession of methamphetamine and transported to the Rabun County Detention Center.
