MedLink Family Medicine Hosting Health and Wellness Fair Today at Cateechee Golf Club
Just a reminder about today’s Health and Wellness Fair taking place at the Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell.
The fair will take place from 1-6 p.m. and will offer a wide range of screenings and feature educational opportunities as well as local vendors, and a bloodmobile.
The Blood Connection bloodmobile will also be onsite for anyone wanting to donate blood. The Blood Connection will be receiving blood donations at their bloodmobile in Cateechee’s parking lot. The need for blood is urgent, and appointments are not necessary to donate blood. Appointments may be booked through the Blood Connection website.

Dr. Daniel Gordon, Provider at MedLink’s Hartwell Office tells WLHR NEWS Health screenings available at the fair will include blood pressure, BMI, glucose screening, vision, and eye health, and hearing checks will all be offered free of charge by MedLink Family Medicine.
Other local business partners will be offering sessions on health and fitness including Andrew Oliphant of The Leadbetter Academy, Empower Yoga, and the Bell Family YMCA.
Talks on wellness will be held by MedLink Georgia, Eden Family Chiropractic, A Touch of Hartwell Massage Therapy, and Benchmark Physical Therapy
And there will also be a session on Food and Nutrition by Candace Dorsey, a Licensed Nutritionist, Hartwell Nutrition, and The Farmer’s Daughter
Dr. Gordon said the goal of the health fair is to encourage our community to lead a healthier lifestyle and improve their overall health status using various local businesses.
The fair this afternoon at the Cateechee Golf Club is free and open to the public.
