Martin Pastor Serves as State Senate Chaplain of the Day

Feb. 3 Day 15Sen. John Wilkinson (R- Toccoa) and Lt. Governor Casey Cagle welcomed Rev. Wayne Marcus of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church in Martin, Ga. to serve as the Chaplain of the Day on Monday, Feb. 3,  in the Georgia State Senate.

As Chaplain of the Day, Rev. Marcus lead the Senators in the daily devotion before the work of the Senate got underway. 

“Rev. Wayne Marcus’ life of service and commitment to the Lord serves as a witness to us all,” said Sen. Wilkinson.  “I was proud to have him join us today in the Senate Chamber and give our daily devotion.” 

Rev. Wayne Marcus is married to Tammy; they have a daughter Noel Marcus, a daughter and son in law, Tasha & Tyler Scroggs and three grandchildren, Easton, Elijah and Elisa Scroggs. God called Pastor Marcus to salvation at the age of 21 and soon after that into the Gospel ministry. At the age of 25, he began his first pastorate at Swamp Creek Baptist Church, in Dalton, GA. After serving at Swamp Creek for five and a half years, the Lord led him to Toms Creek Baptist Church in 1998.
