Lots of Easter Egg Hunts Begin This Weekend

This weekend is the kick-off to a series of Easter Egg hunts in Franklin and Hart counties.

On Sunday, the City of Carnesville will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt Sunday at 2 p.m. at Carnesville City Park.

Children up to sixth grade can come out and hunt hundreds of eggs that will be hidden around the park.

And of course, the Easter Bunny will be making the first of many stops for photos with the kids.

There will also be refreshments for the kiddos.

Also, the Town of Bowersville invites Hart County families to bring their kids to this Sunday’s Easter Egg Hunt from 1p to 4p at the Bowersville Community Center on West Main St.

City Councilwoman Joyce Rumsey said the Easter Bunny will be making a stop so children can have their photos taken with him.

Snacks will be available inside the Community Center and in addition to the egg hunt there will also be inflatables set up outside across the street from the Community Center, as well as games.

Also this Sunday, Connections for Special Parents will hold an Easter Egg Hunt from 2p to 3:30p at Lavonia City Park.

Next week, the Cities of Lavonia, Royston, and Canon in Franklin County will hold Easter Egg hunts on Saturday, March 30.

Lavonia’s Hunt takes place from 2p to 4p at Lavonia City Park and is sponsored by Chick-fil-A, Lavonia Church of God, Lavonia Police, and the Lavonia Downtown Development Authority.

In addition to the egg hunt, the event will include a bounce house and visits with the Easter Bunny and Mr. Twister’s Balloon Animals.

The City of Canon Easter Egg Hunt will be March 30 at 2 p.m. in Canon City Park on Depot Street. Along with the egg hunt, the event will include the Currahee Meadows Petting Zoo and prize eggs provided by the Lake Hartwell Shrine Club.

Free popcorn and water will be provided by the Canon Downtown Development Authority.

The City of Royston will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 30 at 10 a.m. at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4828 at 948 Franklin Springs St.

There will be time to visit with the Easter Bunny at the beginning of the event, with the egg hunt to follow.

And Victoria Bryant State Park in Franklin Springs will hold an Easter Egg Hunt on March 30 from 2-3 p.m. at the park at 1105 Bryant Park Road.
