Melissa Hozey was recently chosen to head up the library on North Georgia Tech’s Currahee Campus.

“My background is entirely in private college and university libraries but I am very excited to be working for a technical college,” she said. “I love the idea of sending people out in to the community to get jobs and better their lives, as well as the lives of those around them.”

Before coming to North Georgia Tech, Hozey worked for the Brenau University Library in Gainesville where she worked in original cataloging, special collections, and the rare book collection.

After a brief period working in Chicago and Miami, she and her husband Matt returned to their roots in Northeast Georgia.

Hozey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pensacola Christian College and achieved her Master’s degree in the Library Information Science program at Florida State University.
