LAVONIA CHURCH STILL HAVING SERVICES SUNDAY, BUT TAKING EXTRA COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Lavonia First Baptist Church has sent out an email to its members to let them know they will be having services this Sunday as usual, but are taking some precautionary steps for those who attend.

In the email, Senior Pastor the Rev. Larry Finger stated:

“We still plan to have all services and activities on Sunday morning and Sunday evening this week,” he said. “We share your concerns about the spread of the coronavirus and will be making a few changes like placing bulletins on tables instead of having people hand them to you, and switching to individually wrapped coffee stirrers. We will also make all the hand sanitizer we can find available. Don’t worry. You won’t be asked to hug or shake hands with anyone!”

“If you are uncomfortable attending a large gathering, or if you are one of our more at risk church-goers, we completely support your decision to stay home. We will put the service online as soon as possible,” he concluded.

The Church has also postponed their weekly senior adult breakfast for next week scheduled for Tuesday 3/17.

If your church is planning to postpone or make changes to your Sunday services due to the concern about the coronavirus, you can send an email to [email protected] and we will post it on our Facebook page.
