Lavonia Carnegie Library Color Run a Success, More Events Beginning for Teens

Franklin County Library Manager Maggie West said this year’s Second Annual Color Run was a big success.

April is CDH Awareness Month, and CDH stands for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia.

Half of the proceeds from the run will be donated to CDH. Last year the first annual Color Run raised $1,800. West said they had a great turnout and raised almost as much money as last year.

And as summer approaches, West said they are scheduling events for teens.

She said they recently moved Teen Night to Mondays with a different activity each week.

Now if you’ve never heard of a book tasting, West said it’s a way for teens to try out new books.

You can learn more about the events and activities taking place at both the Lavonia Carnegie Library and the Royston Public Library by going to their Facebook pages.

There you will find a list of ongoing activities.
