Last Day to Vote Early in U.S. Senate Run-off

Today is the last day to vote early in person for the December 6 run-off for the Georgia U.S. Senate seat now held by Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock and challenged by Republican Herschel Walker.

Neither received the required 50% plus 1 vote to win the seat in the November 8 Election.

Advance voting turnout this week has been heavy all across the State as well as here in Franklin and Hart Counties.

As of Thursday afternoon, 2,213 people had cast early ballots at the Board of Elections Office in Carnesville and 206 absentee paper ballots had been returned of the 386 sent out.

In Hart County, Elections Supervisor Robin Webb said Thursday that 3,800 in-person early ballots had been cast since Monday with almost 300 absentee paper ballots returned out of the 460 sent out.

In both counties today, voters may cast an in-person early ballot from 7a to 7p at their local Board of Elections or Registrar’s office.

There is NO Saturday early voting this weekend.

The next opportunity to vote after today is next Tuesday between 7a and 7p and voters will go to their precinct polling place to cast their ballots.
