Land of Spirit Story Sharing is Tonight in Lavonia

Just a reminder for people interested in contributing stories for this year’s Land of Spirit production.

A first story gathering is being held tonight at the Lavonia Cultural Center at 6p.

Any story is welcome but some of the play themes include stories regarding church, school, moonshine, treasures from the attic, and even beauty pageants.

The Land of Spirit production company is starting to collect stories for its 2016 Folk Life Play Production, and they would like to hear from you.

Land of Spirit has professionally produced Folk Life Plays for the past 8 years in Lavonia.
These productions are based on true life stories of Franklin County and Northeast Georgia.

So if you have lived in Franklin County/Lavonia area your entire life or for many years or have family or friends who have, and you have an unusual funny or family story related to the
Lavonia community, you are invited to come out tonight to first story sharing session.

Again it’s at 6p this evening at the Lavonia Cultural Center.

If you can’t make the session tonight, you can also contact Heather or Bill McCluskey at 706-356-2700 or Marie Morse at the Lavonia Welcome Center at 356-1926.
