Lake Lanier Islands Job Fair Rescheduled

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) Gainesville Career Center has cancelled a scheduled job fair this weekend in Buford to help Lake Lanier Islands Resort fill about 100 seasonal jobs.

Icy weather this week and the threat of snow Friday night into Saturday morning prompted officials to reschedule the job fair for Saturday, Feb. 28.

The company is recruiting personnel to work at its beach, campgrounds, and LanierWorld, a water park.
Those positions include lifeguards, water quality controllers, and other workers.

All of the positions require the employee to be available to work on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the recruitment. While some on-the-job experience is preferred, the company will train the workers, so experience is not required.

Salaries will depend on the position and will be discussed with the applicant during the interview with the employer.
