Joel B.Gunnells of Athens, Ga.formerly of Hartwell died Tuesday November 10, 2015 at his home. Memorial can be made to Nancy Hart Literacy Council Hartwell, Ga. Good News for India La Verne, Ca. or Milledge Ave. Baptist church Foundation Athens Ga. The family will receive friends at Strickland Funeral Home in Hartwell Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church in Athens. The family will receive friends at the church at 10 am and a luncheon reception will follow the service for all attendees. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery in Bowman, Ga.
