Joe Chitwood

Mr. Joe Douglas Chitwood, 76, of Hartwell, Georgia, died on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.  Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Military Honors.  The body is Strickland Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  At other times, the family will be at the home.  Flowers are optional, or memorials may be made to the Carnesville Church of God Building Fund, 10094 Lavonia Road, Carnesville, GA 30521.  Online condolences may also be sent to the family by visiting www.stricklandfh.com.  Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell, Georgia, in charge of all arrangements.
