Mr. Jerry Thomas Jordan, 75, of Lavonia, formerly of Bowman,died on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC following a sudden illness. The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia where the family will receive friends on Friday evening between the hours of 6 o’clock and 8 o’clock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lavonia First Baptist Church, Youth Hangar 40 Building, P. O. Box 47, Lavonia, GA 30553. Funeral services celebrating Jerry’s life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 o’clock at the Lavonia First Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Finger officiating. A private burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Grand Strand Medical Center as well as their countless friends for the kindness that has been shown during this time.
